We had a such a great Easter Sunday! It was beautiful outside, about 55 degrees or so. After having a busy time at church in the morning, we relaxed for a bit after lunch, then went next door for a very elaborate easter egg hunt. Now this egg hunt is an annual affair put on by our neighbors. First, all the kids do their egg hunt in the front yard. They start from across the street, run around the cul-de-sac to their house and get what all they can. Then prizes are given out for whoever had eggs with prize notes in them. Then we send all the kids inside to play in the massive playroom and the adults get their turn. There is a 'golden egg' that has the ultimate prize of a $50 gift card to "The Happy Sumo" restaurant. There are a few glitter eggs that have $25 gift cards to other restaurants. Then some other eggs have smaller prizes on slips of paper like DVD's. The person who obtained the most blue eggs got a foot and a half chocolate bunny. It was pretty funny and fun to see about 12 or so adults clammering for easter eggs in this huge backyard! Richard won a package of twizzlers and I got lots of jelly beans. Maybe next year, we'll get more lucky1!
After this hunt, we headed to Richards parents house for another egg hunt and family dinner which was good! So we ended up having a lot of candy that day! But had a great time with friends and family. You know, I realized that Easter and Halloween are 6 months apart. Which means when the Halloween candy finally runs out, we get more from Easter and when Easter candy runs out we get more at Halloween. Whoever planned that was pretty smart!

Cute Easter pictures! It looks like a really fun egg hunt! I want the glittery egg. . .
How cool is that. I love the idea that the whole block gets involved. That's awesome.. And it's not another event that the adults stand around and watch the kids.. You guys can get involved also... That's fantastic...
Glad to see you guys are doing well. How is Richard and his dad's game sell coming along?
