We had a such a great Easter Sunday! It was beautiful outside, about 55 degrees or so. After having a busy time at church in the morning, we relaxed for a bit after lunch, then went next door for a very elaborate easter egg hunt. Now this egg hunt is an annual affair put on by our neighbors. First, all the kids do their egg hunt in the front yard. They start from across the street, run around the cul-de-sac to their house and get what all they can. Then prizes are given out for whoever had eggs with prize notes in them. Then we send all the kids inside to play in the massive playroom and the adults get their turn. There is a 'golden egg' that has the ultimate prize of a $50 gift card to "The Happy Sumo" restaurant. There are a few glitter eggs that have $25 gift cards to other restaurants. Then some other eggs have smaller prizes on slips of paper like DVD's. The person who obtained the most blue eggs got a foot and a half chocolate bunny. It was pretty funny and fun to see about 12 or so adults clammering for easter eggs in this huge backyard! Richard won a package of twizzlers and I got lots of jelly beans. Maybe next year, we'll get more lucky1!
After this hunt, we headed to Richards parents house for another egg hunt and family dinner which was good! So we ended up having a lot of candy that day! But had a great time with friends and family. You know, I realized that Easter and Halloween are 6 months apart. Which means when the Halloween candy finally runs out, we get more from Easter and when Easter candy runs out we get more at Halloween. Whoever planned that was pretty smart!

Is 32 a good thing? Hmmm...
Wow, in 8 years I'll be 40! Not sure I like the sound of that. I'm still stuck at about 27/28. I turned 32 on Sunday and it was actually a nice day despite the fact that it was on a Sunday. I'm the type of person that loves to play! So, I made sure I got that in on Saturday. I did something I haven't done since my mission, play lazer tag! A few couples in our ward came with us and we had a blast! Afterwards, we came back to our house and had dessert and played 'ImagineIf'. Sunday was pretty good. We had church in the morning, then took a real nice nap in the afternoon. A few friends stopped by to say hi, and in the evening we went to my brothers house. I thoroughly loved holding my new nephew who is now a week old and such a cutie!
The gifts included a new family size electric griddle from Richard which I really wanted, new dishes from mom/dad, a gift card from my brother, a jar of Nutella from a good friend (yes, I was very happy to receive!) and I'm hoping to receive just $$ from Richard's family this Sunday so I can get a new bedspread set and curtains for our bedroom. (I can't decide between a nice deep purple or brown/blue colors. Our bedroom is a boring cream, tan, and dark green. Time for Change!)
I have to tell you, last night we had our Relief Society birthday dinner. I'm on the committee and was put in charge of the games (very fitting for me as I am a game freak!) Our theme was 'Legacy of Sisterhood' and the committee wanted games that had been passed down to us through the years. Games that our moms or grandmas had played when they were young. So, we had competitions in jacks, hopscotch, jumprope, hula-hoop and at the end had some line-dancing. It's amazing the things you learn about other ladies in the ward when you bring out the jacks, jumpropes, and hula-hoops. It was hilarious! So many sisters participated (thankfully). A few sisters also shared some of the things that had been passed on to them or what they've learned through RS that they can pass on to others. There were some really neat stories. It was a lot of fun!

Whoever invented spider-killing spray...
...did a wonderful, wonderful thing! It's that time of year again when the creepy-crawly's decide it's time to come out and torture all of us who hate them! I'm sure it was a desperate housewife at home all day with kids (and spiders) that said, "honey, I can't stand it anymore! Find a way to get rid of these spiders, or else...!" So her hubby went out and invented 'the spray.' God bless that housewife whoever she may be! I had our place sprayed today for those nasty little creatures and you know, it's peace of mind. We live in an older house, and they know where to come in. We had it sprayed last summer and WOW! was it a huge difference. I believe!!
